Kinect Star Wars - premiere on April

Microsoft has revealed a specific release date, one of the most announced games for Kinect - Kinect Star Wars. We will have an opportunity to wave with lightsabers in front of TV on April this year.

As the representatives of Microsoft told, Kinect Star Wars will be released on April 3rd. At the same time set of Xbox 360 and Kinect with game will appear. The game will include five modes of play - Jedi Destiny: Dark Side Rising, Podracing, Rancor Rampage, Galactic Dance Off and Duels of Fate.

Most interesting mode of play will be Galactic Dance Off. Players instead of fighting for dead or alive will dance to the rhythm of familiar themes from "Star Wars".

Rockstar San Diego working on Red Dead Redemption 2?

Rockstar San Diego studio is looking for more people to work on an open world game. Red Dead Redemption 2, or something completely new?

Announcement of a similar nature occurred in mid-January this year, and now on the Gamasutra you can find another three. In total there are six job offers for artists and programmers , who would be responsible for various elements of open world games. But what game are we talking about?

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - new trailer for Xbox 360

Namco Bandai Games on his YouTube channel has published a new trailer console version of Witcher 2. New trailer have successfully introduced into atmosphere of the game and contains several well-produced scenes.



The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - Extended Edition for the Xbox 360 will be up on April 17 this year. We are still waiting for more info from CD Projekt RED about new characters, locations and sound improvements in the game.

Sanctum 2 for PC and consoles

Sanctum is an example of a hybrid game that combines elements of tower defense and cooperative shooter, whose authors are people from Coffee Stain Studios. The game is distributed through Steam where they sold a quantity of 300.000 copies.

Diablo III - Community manager of Blizzard on confession

Micah "Bashiok" Whiple, community manager of Blizzard, recently organized a panel of AMA (ask me anything) for the Diablo III. Bashiok answered numerous questions from fans on Twitter and we found out maximum number of players in team, lack of textures in high resolution and the fact that Blizzard has no plans to implement voice communication.

The number of people on the team will be maximum four players (despite the fact that we have five classes). Bashiok said that developers are not currently working to increase this limit. It is not known whether this decision was dictated by the desire to balance the game, the network code restrictions, or perhaps other reasons.

Bashiok also revealed that the full version of Diablo III doesn't have embedded voice chat. This does not mean that the implementation of voice chat is definitely ruled out. Developers just don't want to implement something that is not very often used (see: voice chat in World of Warcraft). It is worth noting that so far the players rather avoid Blizzard's solutions and preferred an "external" programs (such as TeamSpeak or Ventrilo).

Those who expected a better visual design in the full version of Diablo III will be sorely disappointed. Bashiok asked about the texture in high resolution and setting "ultra" (as in StarCraft II) said that it would nothing actually change.

We also find out that the new system of skills will be in beta, and the next patch will bring changes in the various character classes. Bashiok also posted that the release of addon is possible, and the premiere of the basic version of Diablo III will be organized in a similar style as the debut of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. This means that game will be started at midnight and we will have ability to download the full version before the official release date.

PlayStation Network changes its name to Sony Entertainment Network

Sony has announced that on the February 8 service PlayStation Network (PSN) changes its name to Sony Entertainment Network (SEN). This will help to unify the Japanese company's various services in order to create one single global network.

So far, this is a purely cosmetic move. This means that there wont be changes in the functioning of the PlayStation Network. User accounts will not need to change password or login. Everything will be automatic and not require the direct participation of the player.

Sony hopes to put under one flag all services involved in the game (PlayStation Network), movies (Video Unlimited), music (Music Unlimited) and other media. In this way users can use any available service using a single account.

The new name will be entered through a software update available for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. For now, Sony has no plans to officially introduce the Sony Entertainment Network to PSP users. However, one may guess that this happens soon.

The Book of Us - new information and first screenshots of the gameplay

The official website of the magazine Game Informer, show the first screenshots from the game The Last of Us illustrating the capabilities of its graphics engine. In a few days we will see a new journal number where we can find a range of new information on the upcoming production from Naughty Dog studio.

This time we look at how real the upcoming game Uncharted creators of the series will be presented in the action. Just as we got used to the studio Naughty Dog staff, again we're dealing with a great artwork, which shows what Play Station 3 can really do.

We experiencedsome rudimentary information about the game. It turns out that the opponents will fight both with firearms and in the melee. In the latter case we will be able to use certain items, which in time will be destroyed, forcing the protagonist to find a new tool. On one of the screenshots, we see how the enemy beats Joel with wooden bat - perhaps we will be able to use it too.

More information will be announced on 7 February in new publication of Game Informer. Editors have prepared a comprehensive announcement, which will be more than 20 screenshots from the game. We can therefore expect that a lot of cards will be discovered about this production.

The Last of Us is an action game with survival horror elements prepared solely for the PlayStation 3 by authors of Uncharted Series. Release date is not yet known, although we expect the game at the end of the current and beginning of the next year.

Forza Motorsport 4: February America Le Mans Series Pack - new DLC on the way

Microsoft, along with the studio Turn 10 announced the next DLC for Forzy Motorsport fourth February America Le Mans Series Pack will consist of ten new cars.

February America Le Mans Series Pack will appear in the Xbox Live 7 February and it will cost 560 MSP. DLC will bring with ten new cars inspired from the title of Le Mans race.

Diablo III - 100.000 invitations to the beta for the Americans. Twice as much for Europe?

Perhaps some of you came across somewhere on the interesting information that Blizzard was tempted by a massive wave of free invitations to the third "devil" in North America. The fact which is to serve up such a large wave of testers and if a similar share of citizens can rely on the Old Continent will learn to develop this story.

As many as 100 000 "tickets" to the beta recently awakened to the American accounts of Battle.net, that expectant community of Diablo III received quite clearly - the so-called stress test servers, in other words a massive load connections that support play in the third beta of the famous series.
